Try These First

  • Check Task Manager for processes using high CPU
  • Update graphics drivers (often run hot when outdated)
  • Check Windows Power Plan — set to Balanced
  • Use compressed air to clear vents (laptop OFF)
  • Use the laptop on a hard surface, not bed/lap
  • Bring in for internal cleaning + new thermal paste
  • For older laptops — fan replacement may be needed
